The world’s largest provider of online gaming software, Microgaming, has announced that it has signed a licensing deal with Universal Partnerships & Licensing that will see this award winning Technology Company producing online slot games centered on the Jurassic Park film trilogies.
The original Jurassic Park movie was directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 1993. Due to the film’s immense popularity it was followed by two sequels titled The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 3 as well as a very successful 3D re-release of the original movie in 1997. The licensing deal includes the entire classic collection of films that is one of the biggest film trilogies in the history of motion pictures. A fourth installment of the movie is due to be released next year.
Microgaming’s Jurassic Park slot game is scheduled to be released this summer and is a 5 reel and 243 ways to win slot game featuring several of the dinosaurs and characters from the movie. Players will have a chance to trigger one out of five different free spin modes which will depend on the DNA analysis of the randomly selected dinosaur.
According to Roger Raatgever, the Chief Executive Officer of Microgaming, Jurassic Park is a seminal movie with spectacular visual effects and computer generated imagery that has set a new benchmark in the industry. He added that it is a film that they can draw parallels from in terms of their game creation and their aim to deliver the most visionary and imaginative gaming experiences to the end player.
Raatgever also said that the Jurassic Park brand is legendary and that their game development team is in the process of creating an all-mighty slot that is due to be released later this year.
Microgaming will preview the Jurassic Park online slot game at ICE Totally Gaming, ExCel London from Tuesday 4th to Thursday, 6th February, 2014.
