PokerStars is moving closer to its Flutter stablemates in the UK, starting with a new Betfair integration designed to bring more players into shared poker pools.
PokerStars Lands On Betfair
Betfair customers will be able to access PokerStars from August 13 through a new co-branded offering called PokerStars on Betfair.
The launch is the first stage of a wider overhaul of Flutter Entertainment’s UK poker business. PokerStars UK customers are expected to move across to the Betfair platform later in 2026, while Paddy Power and Sky Poker are also due to add the PokerStars product.
For Betfair players, the change puts PokerStars poker alongside the operator’s existing betting and casino offering. For regular PokerStars customers, there is no immediate homework. The company says players can continue as normal until they are contacted with instructions about any account or access changes.
Bigger Poker Pools Are The Main Prize
The logic behind the move is fairly straightforward: poker works better when there are more people sitting at the tables.
Flutter is building what it calls the PokerStars Network, which connects players using different brands into shared poker pools where local rules allow. The aim is to produce busier cash games, larger tournament fields and healthier prize pools.
PokerStars says increasingly fragmented gambling regulation has made it harder to maintain deep international player pools. In some markets, operators have been forced to separate players or leave altogether, reducing the number of opponents available at any given time.
That is hardly ideal for someone logging in after work and hoping to find a decent game without staring at half-empty tables.
Familiar PokerStars Games Will Remain
The reshuffle does not mean PokerStars is ditching its familiar software or headline tournaments.
UK players are still expected to have access to the wider PokerStars player pool and established events including the Sunday Million, SCOOP and WCOOP. Spin & Go tournaments and qualification routes for live PokerStars events are also set to remain part of the offering.
PokerStars says player funds will remain safe and segregated during the transition, while customers affected by future migration steps will be contacted directly.
The operator has already used versions of the same network model elsewhere. PokerStars has been integrated with FanDuel in North America, while Flutter-owned Sisal and SNAI have been brought into the setup in Italy.
Flutter Brings Its UK Brands Closer Together
The Betfair launch also gives a clearer picture of where Flutter wants to take its poker business.
Rather than running several separate poker operations under brands it already owns, Flutter can put PokerStars technology behind those brands and funnel players into larger shared pools.
Betfair comes first, with Paddy Power and Sky expected to follow.
For everyday UK players, the corporate reshuffling matters less than the result at the table. If Flutter’s plan works, players should see more opponents, more active games and deeper tournament fields.
That is a much easier sell than another gambling industry rebrand with a new logo and little else behind it.
