Codere, a leading international gaming operator, has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Monterrey Rayados Football Club, of Mexico’s Liga MX.
The four-year agreement will come into effect in July 2021 and run until 2025 with Codere becoming the main sponsor of the football club and its logo appearing on the team’s official kit and shirt.
Pedro Esquivel, Executive Vice President of Monterrey Rayados A.C. Football Club, commented that it is a pleasure for them to begin a relationship with an international brand like Codere, which will help them both to continue consolidating their growth and achieve their goals.
Esquivel also said that they believe in long-term alliances with business partners who share their values and objectives, for which they thank Codere for their trust and they are sure that great things will come for the future.
Alberto Telias, Marketing Director at Codere, said that the agreement with Rayados de Monterrey is an extremely exciting project. He added that the operator of gaming machines, bingo halls, casinos, racetracks and sports betting locations across Spain, Italy and Latin America and the football club have similar values.
Telias went on to say that partnering with such a successful and important team as Rayados, after a period of pandemic with great impact on the game, is confirmation of the strong proposal that Codere has for Mexican players.
Codere has been present in Mexico since 1998 when it was granted with sports betting and raffle licenses by the country’s Ministry of the Interior, allowing the company to roll out terminals, betting points and gaming halls as well as operating at the Hipodromo de las Americas racecourse in Mexico City.
