Catena Media, one of the world’s most successful lead-generation companies, is thrilled to announce that it has entered into a deal in terms of which it will acquire sports news and lead-generator ASAP Italia for an amount of €16m ($18.5m).
This addition will see the company considerably enhance its stake in the Italian market, while ASAP ITALIA will procure revenues of approximately €300,000 per month – assets which will be consolidated into Catena Media this month.
Catena Media’s initial acquisition consideration amounts to an up-front cash payment of an amount of €12.5 m, while a deferred cash consideration of €3.5 m will be paid after a period of 12 months.
In addition, Catena Media also has a chance of making an earn-out payment of up to €6 m, which is based on the revenue performance of the business over a one year period.
Per Hellberg, who was announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of Catena Media last month, commented on the acquisition of ASAP ITALIA by saying that this is a strong acquisition for Catena Media, which will result in them becoming the number one lead generator within Online Sports Betting in Italy.
Hellberg went on to say that Italy was one of the first countries in Europe to regulate the online gaming sector. He also said that this is a company that maintains a very high level of quality in terms of compliance and he is extremely pleased to welcome them to the Catena Media team.
