DraftKings is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with lifestyle and media platform FaZe Clan.
In terms of the deal, DraftKings has been made the official Sports Betting iGaming, Daily Fantasy Sports and Free-to-Play partner of the leading entertainment platform.
Lee Trink, the Chief Executive Officer at FaZe Clan, commented that both brands share a similar vision of being at the forefront of internet culture.
Trink went on to say that the DraftKings deal is a natural move for FaZe Clan as their members and fans are avid followers of traditional sports, and this gives them the opportunity to further propel their talent and brand into the mainstream. He added that they believe this partnership marks an important cultural crossover moment for the future of sports and entertainment.
Matt Kalish, the Co-Founder and President of Draft|Kings, said FaZe Clan is an internet juggernaut when it comes to fan engagement.
Kalish also said that the strong crossover between DraftKings customers and FaZe’s tens of millions of viewers and followers make this a natural alliance, and they hope to create excitement, competition, and community around sports and video games for adult audiences everywhere they operate.
The new deal will see DrafKings having the opportunity to appear across FaZe’s digital content ecosystem, including custom content, live streams, tournament events and a new planned podcast. DraftKings will also have a presence at FaZe Clan events and gain access to FaZe Clan talent and a selection of digital and social media content.
DraftKings’ eSports presence will also be enhanced by becoming the official sponsor of FaZe Clan’s Counter-Strike eSports team with logo placement on team jerseys and additional branding on team and player official channels as the official sponsor.
