Microgaming has announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc., brokered by Creative Licensing Corporation, which sees it being awarded exclusive rights to the Tarzan name for online slot games.
Edgar Rice Burroughs introduced Tarzan in his novel “Tarzan of the Apes” which was published in 1912 and the hero of the jungle has since been depicted by 29 different actors to become the most filmed character in motion picture history.
Microgaming’s huge portfolio of branded content will be enriched with the Tarzan online slot which is due to launch within the following few weeks both on desktop and mobile devices.
The Tarzan online slot will feature Tarzan, Jane and Archimedas as well as a number of his jungle friends and will offer several exciting features and distinguishing sounds such as Tarzan’s famous “yell”.
Roger Raatgever, the Chief Executive Officer of Microgaming, commented on the new release by saying that Tarzan is recognized the world over and they are thrilled to be launching a slot hosted by this timeless character. He added that they can honestly say that the online slot will not disappoint Tarzan fans.
The President of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., James Sullos, added that they could not be more pleased to license Tarzan and his friends to such a quality company as Microgaming. Sullos went on to say that their extensive experience in developing online slot games assures them that they will build a game that will attract many fans and players to the game from around the globe.
