A Spanish player was left stunned recently when he hit the jackpot on one of Playtech’s most popular slot games. The Codere Casino player was left EUR 1.5 million richer after playing Gladiator: Road to Rome slots and taking home the big prize.
The chief operating officer of Playtech, Shimon Akad pointed out that Gladiator: Road to Rome has become one of Playtech’s most successful games, and the group was delighted to create Spain’s first casino jackpot millionaire.
The biggest prize won by a Spanish online casino player until now has been EUR 130,000 on one of the games in the DC Superheroes Jackpot series.
Akad went on to say: “Spain is a growing market with significant long-term potential and Codere is a key local partner for us, so it’s a great step forward to have awarded one of their players Spain’s biggest online gambling prize to date.”
The London-listed Playtech has a portfolio of 80 progressive jackpot games, and nearly EUR 200 million was paid out in jackpot prizes worldwide in just one year.
Akad said that Playtech offers an unrivalled proposition for licensees looking to offer their players exciting gameplay and incredible win potential.
Also commenting was Angel Fernandez for Codere, who expressed the group’s excitement following the big win. “Gladiator: Road to Rome is a hugely popular game for us, with the progressive jackpot proving a major draw,” he said. “Many congratulations to our lucky client on their amazing win.”
