Amusnet has added Alberta to its Canadian footprint, giving the supplier access to the country’s newest regulated online gambling market.
Amusnet Adds Alberta License
Amusnet has received approval from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis, clearing the supplier to offer its online casino content in the province.
The company is registered as an iGaming goods and services supplier in Alberta, following its Ontario approval earlier in 2026.
That gives Amusnet access to both Canadian provinces currently operating competitive regulated iGaming markets.
CEO Julia Peeva-Sertov said the Alberta approval builds on the company’s Ontario launch and creates new partnership opportunities across Canada.
For players, the license means Alberta-facing operators can now begin adding Amusnet titles once commercial integrations are agreed.
Alberta Market Attracts More Suppliers
Alberta launched its regulated iGaming market on July 13, becoming the second Canadian province after Ontario to allow multiple private operators.
More than 20 operator platforms were available at launch, while dozens more had entered the registration process.
That creates plenty of opportunities for game suppliers, but also plenty of competition.
Greentube is among the other studios to have secured Alberta approval, and more suppliers are expected to follow as operators continue building out their casino libraries.
Ontario Opened the Door
Amusnet entered North America through Ontario earlier this year after receiving supplier registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
The company planned to launch with a portfolio of more than 160 games, giving licensed operators access to a broad mix of slots and other casino content.
Alberta now gives Amusnet a second Canadian market without having to start from scratch.
The timing could also work in its favour. Suppliers securing approval during the early stages of Alberta’s rollout have a chance to land integrations before casino lobbies become even more crowded.
More Choice for Alberta Players
Amusnet is best known for its slot catalogue, ranging from classic-style games to newer video slots.
Its arrival should give licensed Alberta casinos another content provider to work with as they compete for players.
That competition could be good news for the average player. With operators chasing the same audience, deeper game libraries and more varied content become another way for sites to stand out.
Alberta has also said a large share of online gambling previously took place through offshore platforms, so one of the province’s main goals is to move more players into the regulated market.
Amusnet’s approval is another small piece of that shift.
For the supplier, the next step is landing operator deals. For Alberta players, it means one more game catalogue could soon start appearing across licensed casino sites.
