Unibet, a leading online gambling operator and part of the Kindred Group, has announced that it has entered into a partnership with new BLAST Pro Series professional eSports in terms of which it will be sponsoring the event which is scheduled to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark later this month.
The agreement signed between the parties will see Unibet being the Exclusive Betting Partner of the tournament be held for the first time on Friday, 24th and Saturday, 25th November at the Royal Arena.
Six eSports teams will compete in the First Person Shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive title that offers a prize pool of $250,000.
Unibet will be offering a selection of outright odds throughout the event with special one-on-one promotions as the tournament unfolds.
Jordi Roig, the Chief Commercial Officer of RFRSH Entertaining, which runs the new event, commented that they always evaluate which partners they bring in and how a partnership is activated as their focus is to renew and expand while paying full respect to the existing scene.
Roig added that on this bases, they are excited about the plans Unibet has presented to them and are looking forward to working with them to take eSports and BLAST Pro Series a step further.
Ebba Ljungerud, Chief Commercial Officer at Kindred Group, the parent company of Unibet, added that the fresh ideas and new concepts that will be on offer at the event have been put together by RFRSH Entertainment with the players’ and fans’ front of mind.
Ljungerud also said that sponsoring the first in the series of events demonstrates their commitment to professional sports and the recent deal RFRSH signed with the eSports Integrity Coalition supports their efforts to maintain integrity of the sport.
