Unibet, a leading internet casino, will be sponsoring the BLAST Pro Series eSports event which is due to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark over Friday, 24th and Saturday, 25th November 2017.
An agreement signed between the parties will see Unibet being the Exclusive Betting Partner of the tournament, which is being held for the first time this Friday and Saturday at the 10,000 capacity Royal Arena.
The BLAST Pro Series will be a global tournament with six teams competing for a prize pool of $250,000.
The six eSports teams will be competing in the First Person Shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Unibet will be offering different odds on the events as the event goes down.
Ebba Ljungerud, Kindred’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented on the agreement by saying that the fresh ideas and new concepts that will be on offer at the event have been put together by RFRSH Entertainment with the players’ and fans’ front of mind. He went on to say that sponsoring the first in the series of events demonstrates their commitment to professional sports and the recent deal RFRSH signed with the eSports Integrity Coalition supports their continued efforts to maintain integrity of the sport.
Jordi Roig, the Chief Commercial Officer of RFRSH, the group running the tournament, also commented by saying that they always evaluate which partners they bring in and how a partnership is activated as their focus is to renew and expand while paying full respect to the existing scene.
Roig also said that they are very excited about the plans Unibet has presented to them and look very much forward to working with them to take eSports and BLAST Pro Series a step further.
