Marathonbet, an international online bookmaker that has been running across Europe and the United Kingdom since 1997, has announced that it has joined a number of other operators who have recently engaged with Spanish football teams, revealing that it will be sponsoring La Liga side Girona Football Club in a multi-year contract.
The new deal with the Spanish football team follows last season’s completion of the bookmaker’s agreement with English Premier League champions Manchester City. The online bookmaker has also entered into sponsorship agreements with Hibernian Football Club and Dynamo Football Club.
The deal with Girona Football Club will see the Marathonbet logo featuring on Girona team shirts, and the company will enjoy brand exposure, engagement and promotional opportunities at the engagement and promotional opportunities at the club’s Montilivi Stadium, as well as digital and social networking privileges.
Ignasi Mas-Baga, the Chief Executive Officer of Girona Football Club, commented that with this link they have fulfilled their objective of establishing an alliance with a renowned and prestigious company. Mas-Baga also said that Marathonbet will be their first main sponsor since winning promotion to La Liga, so this is a real milestone for the club.
Mas-Baga went on to say that they intend to create a close, long-term relationship so that both entities can continue to grow together.
