US Sports Bar and Restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings has announced that it has teamed up with Daily Fantasy Sport giant DraftKings to create a custom fantasy football game within each of the company’s more than 1,200 restaurants nationwide.
Paul Brown, the Chief Executive Officer of Buffalo Wild Wings parent company Inspire Brands, issued a press release saying that as America’s largest sports bar, millions of fans spend their game days at Buffalo Wild Wings each week. He added that they are thrilled to partner with the industry leader in fantasy sport, DraftKings, to deliver an experience to their guests that they cannot get anywhere else.
The chain – also known as B-Dubs – will begin offering DraftKings’ Blazin” Fantasy Football game on an exclusive basis via a mobile app in all its restaurants starting from Sunday, 9th September 2018, which will coincide with the first full Sunday of the 2018-19 NFL American football season and running through the NFL regular-season finale on Sunday, 30th December, 2018.
Blazin’ Fantasy Football is a custom-built contest that will be available to patrons on Buffalo Wild Wings’ Blazin’ Rewards mobile app. Patrons will be able to enter the contest for free each week and will have a variety of ways to win prizes, which include BWW gift cards, free wings for a year and Blazin’ Rewards points. Six hundred players will win prizes each week.
Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings Chief Business Officer, commented that they are excited to partner with Buffalo Wild Wings to offer sports fans a unique, in-store fantasy product this football season.
