The update includes games built around familiar icons like jeepneys and local festivals, signaling a move toward games that look and feel homegrown.
The first batch of Gioco-developed titles includes Cash Cash Fiesta and Jeepney Go, with Tuktuk Gold and Slice n Go joining soon. These additions aren’t your standard digital slot fare. Cyrus Sherafat, EVP and head of gaming for both megaFUNalo and Solaire Resort & Casino, pointed to strong audience growth tied to this domestic-first approach. “With Gioco Arcade, we’re offering players experiences that feel exciting and familiar, all within a licensed and trusted platform,” he said.
Local Developers Get a Boost
Gioco Arcade’s CEO, Maricar Nepomuceno, sees the partnership as a win for the local game dev community. “There’s a good future for Filipino game development,” she noted, adding that this kind of exposure could motivate more developers to stay in the country and contribute to a growing digital ecosystem.
The move also supports Bloomberry’s broader pivot toward digital expansion, especially as the country’s online gaming revenues continue to rise. While land-based casino revenues dipped in Q3 2025, online eGames saw an uptick—further validating efforts like megaFUNalo.
Regulated, Responsible, and Revenue-Ready
The platform operates under a PAGCOR license and emphasizes compliance and responsible gaming. Users must be 21 or older, and restrictions are in place for government workers and military personnel. Built-in tools like deposit limits and timeout options are part of the user experience, as regulators continue to keep a close watch on the sector.
Further regulation is on the way. Starting April 1, 2026, PAGCOR will require all licensed gaming system administrators to pay a minimum guaranteed monthly fee, part of the agency’s push to standardize oversight across the digital gambling landscape.
