A woman, who hails from Swell, New Jersey, decided to gamble online on her smart phone while at work on a conference call on Thursday, 2nd August 2018. The player was wagering on the 5 reel and 20 pay line progressive Mega Jackpot game, Divine Fortune, on playsugarhouse.com when, in the middle of her call she hit the Mega Jackpot on the game for an amount of $287,945 on a bet of $2.
The lucky punter commented on SugarHouse Online Casino’s Chat Room that she was shocked when she hit the jackpot while on a work conference call and almost screamed out loud. She also said that it is her birthday next week so she is excited about the best surprise present ever.
The player’s win is the biggest jackpot in New Jersey to date for Divine Fortune, a progressive Mega Jackpot game, and the biggest winner for playsugarhouse.com since SugarHouse Online Casino came onto the iGaming market in New Jersey in September, 2016.
Richard Schwartz, President of Rush Street Interactive, the site’s operator, commented that they are extremely excited for this winner who started playing with them in January of this year. He added that as they approach their 2 year anniversary, hitting this record-breaking jackpot is great for them and for the entire online gaming community as it proves people can win life-changing amounts online at any time and any place.
The jackpot on Divine Fortune has been hit on five previous occasions but the largest amount won was $193,737.
