US gambling technology and games supplier Scientific Games Corporation has revealed that it has established a new sportsbook operations team in Gibraltar, headed up by the former Managing Director of Superbet Digital, Stuart Weston.
Weston and his team will help grow the company’s sportsbook business by supporting its clients through a sportsbook operations service.
Scientific Games commented that together with its existing sports betting products with a fast-to-market, full-stack sportsbook folio that includes sports betting, portal, mobile betting and retail services, the creation of the operations team provides its SG Digital division with a complete sportsbook operation for numerous customers, allowing for long-term success with less heavy lifting for installations and ongoing sportsbook management.
Keith O’Loughlin, the Senior Vice President of sportsbook for SG Digital, commented on the launch by saying that given the massive opportunity in the United States and the continued success of existing markets, the addition of sportsbook operations is a natural step up for their business.
Weston previously held the position of Sportsbook Product Director at William Hill and has been appointed Vice President of Sportsbook Operations at SG Digital in the role of heading up the Gibraltar based office. He most recently acted as Managing Director of Superbet Digital, which is currently in the process of downsizing its Gibraltar office. Westen is expected to assume his new role at SG Digital next month.
Meanwhile, shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ.SGMS) closed down 1.55 per cent at $26.93 per share in New York on Thursday, 13th September 2018.
