Scientific Games Corporation, a world leader in gaming entertainment, is pleased to announce that SG Digital has entered into an agreement with Svenska Spil that will see it provide content through the division’s Open Gaming System (OGS) as well as a Player Account Management solution via the Open Platform System (OPS).
In terms of the agreement, SG Digital will, pending approval from the Swedish Gambling Authority, provide platform technology and a library of over 2000 games from its nine game studios and third-party providers. OGS allows customers to gain access to a very large portfolio of gaming content, while the OPS provides one-wallet access and top-notch loyalty programs.
In addition, SG Digital will provide hosting and integration services to support Svenska Spel.
SG Digital will integrate into the OPS of a number of Svenska Spel’s current game verticals that include bingo, sports betting and poker.
Matt Davey, Group Chief Executive at SG Digital, commented that the Swedish market is a key region for SG Digital and they are honored to continue their longstanding relationship with Svenska Spelt that originally started back in 2007. He added that they are excited to continue to offer their high-performing technology and systems to Sweden.
Fredrik Wastenson, Vice President of Products at Svenska Spel said that a thorough search was undertaken in the choice of supplier and they are confident that SG Digital will deliver a good solution. He also said that they are preparing Svenska Spel for the new gambling market, which is expected to come into force on January 1, 2019 and that this procurement is part of the preparations for the non-captive market.
