Antoine Jouteau will take charge of Banijay Gaming in September as the group brings Betclic, Tipico and Admiral under a broader European growth plan.
A New Boss for a Bigger Gaming Group
Banijay Gaming has appointed Antoine Jouteau as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026.
Jouteau arrives as the company reshapes its senior leadership and expands its presence across regulated European gambling markets. Nicolas Béraud will remain with the business as Non-Executive Chair of the Board, while Joachim Baca will become Non-Executive Vice-Chair.
The leadership change follows Banijay Gaming’s combination with Tipico Group and its planned purchase of French casino operator Groupe JOA. Together, those deals give the company a wider mix of online betting, casino and retail gambling operations.
Its portfolio now includes Betclic, Tipico and Admiral, three familiar names competing across some of Europe’s busiest regulated markets.
Jouteau Sees Room to Build
Jouteau described the appointment as arriving at a “pivotal moment” for Banijay Gaming.
He said the combination of the three brands creates a platform with established products, experienced teams and a broad European footprint. His early priorities will include meeting staff across the region and learning what works inside each business before setting a common direction.
The balancing act will be familiar to any operator built through mergers. Banijay Gaming wants the brands to share technology, data and expertise without sanding away the differences that made them successful in the first place.
Jouteau said future growth would depend on execution, innovation and better player experiences rather than technology for technology’s sake.
That last point matters to customers. Players rarely care which corporate platform sits behind an app. They care whether deposits clear quickly, games load properly, offers make sense and withdrawals do not become an obstacle course.
Data and AI Move Up the Agenda
Antoine Jouteau brings more than 20 years of experience in technology-led companies, with a background spanning start-ups and publicly listed businesses.
He previously held leadership roles at TDF and PagesJaunes before joining French classifieds platform Leboncoin in 2009. He became its CEO in 2015 and helped grow the business through new services and a broader commercial model.
In 2022, he was appointed CEO of Adevinta, the international classifieds group behind brands including Mobile.de, Leboncoin and Kleinanzeigen. He later returned to lead Leboncoin in 2024.
His experience in data, artificial intelligence and digital marketplaces gives a fair clue about where Banijay Gaming may focus next. Smarter personalisation, joined-up customer accounts and quicker product development are obvious targets, though stronger data use will also bring closer scrutiny from regulators and privacy-conscious players.
What Changes for Players?
Banijay Gaming’s brands operate across six regulated markets and serve nearly 6.5 million unique active players each year.
For the average casino or sportsbook customer, the CEO change will not produce an overnight makeover. The more interesting question is what happens once Betclic, Tipico and Admiral begin sharing more of their technology and operating know-how.
Done well, the group could roll out features faster, improve customer support and offer a smoother experience across its platforms. Done badly, integration can mean confusing account changes, recycled promotions and the sort of “upgrade” that somehow adds three extra clicks.
Antoine Jouteau’s job is to deliver the benefits of scale without making players feel like they have been swallowed by a corporate spreadsheet.
