Nolimit City’s latest horror-comedy slot mixes vintage cartoon visuals, cascading wins and a five-stage Death Meter ahead of its worldwide release on September 22.
Ding Dong Death Arrives September 22
Nolimit City is preparing to unleash Ding Dong Death, a grimly comic new online slot built around avalanches, transforming Wilds and a Death Meter that becomes more dangerous as a spin develops.
The game entered exclusive early access on September 15, 2026, with its wider release scheduled for September 22. It plays across a 6×3 reel setup with 729 ways to win, while the maximum payout is capped at 14,280x the stake.
Visually, Nolimit City has gone for a warped old-school cartoon look. The reels are populated by the Grim Reaper, a Mental Patient and other decidedly deceased clubhouse residents, with monochrome artwork broken up by flashes of green. It is cheerful in roughly the same way a haunted basement is cheerful.

The Death Meter Keeps Building
The headline mechanic is the five-level Death Meter, which is active in the base game and bonus rounds.
Winning combinations trigger avalanches, clearing symbols and allowing replacements to fall into place. Every third avalanche unlocks another Death Meter level. Each level converts a designated character symbol into Wilds for the remainder of that round.
Things get nastier at Level 5. The first time players reach the top of the meter, the global win multiplier moves to x2. Further Level 5 activations add another +1 to that multiplier.
That setup gives long avalanche chains a reason to keep players watching. Rather than simply collecting consecutive wins, each collapse can push the reels closer to more Wilds and stronger multiplier potential.
xNudge and Knock Knock Add More Chaos
Ding Dong Death also brings back several mechanics associated with Nolimit City.
The xNudge Wild moves down the reel while increasing its multiplier by +1 for each symbol it passes before expanding across the reel. Level 5 Death Meter action can also introduce xSplit and xNudge Wilds.
Then there is Knock Knock Who’s There?, a feature that can respond when matching symbols appear horizontally without producing a normal win. Those symbols are removed, Mental Patient symbols may appear and another collapse follows.
For the average slot player, that means dead spins are not always quite as dead as they first look.
Two Free-Spin Modes Raise the Stakes
Landing three, four or five Scatters awards seven, nine or 11 Ding Dong Spins respectively. Death Meter progress and the global multiplier carry into the feature, while further Scatters can add spins.
Landing all six Scatters opens the stronger Ding Dong Death Spins mode with 13 spins.
Here, each unlocked Death Meter level adds +1 to the global multiplier. When an xNudge Wild with its own multiplier contributes to a winning combination, that value can also be added to the global multiplier.
Boosters Offer a Faster Route to the Features
Where local rules allow them, players can use several paid booster options.
The standard Bonus Booster costs 2x the base stake and makes the Ding Dong Spins or Ding Dong Death Spins features three times more likely to trigger. Other options can begin play with Death Meter Level 3, 4 or 5 unlocked, while the xNudge Booster guarantees an xNudge Wild on reel three or four.
An xTra Spin may also appear after a round. If offered, it retains the Death Meter level and multiplier from the previous spin, with the price calculated according to the value of the position being carried forward.
Ding Dong Death therefore looks less like a simple horror-themed reskin and more like classic Nolimit City territory: interconnected mechanics, escalating multipliers and plenty happening once the reels start collapsing. Players tempted by the 14,280x ceiling should still keep the usual reality in mind: the headline payout is rare, while the Death Meter is likely to provide most of the moment-to-moment entertainment.
