Greentube has launched a selection of online slots in Alberta, expanding its Canadian presence as the province welcomes private iGaming operators.
Greentube Goes Live on Opening Day
Greentube entered Alberta’s regulated commercial iGaming market on July 13, the first day private operators were allowed to offer online casino and sports betting products in the province.
The NOVOMATIC-owned supplier completed the required regulatory and technical approvals and is registered with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis.
Alberta becomes Greentube’s second regulated Canadian market after Ontario, where the company launched in 2022.
Arriving on day one gives Greentube an early chance to secure space across newly launched casino sites. Operators entering Alberta will need a broad mix of games, while suppliers will be competing for prominent positions in crowded casino lobbies.
Launch Catalogue Features Six Slots
Greentube’s opening range includes a mix of recent releases and established titles.
The supplier has launched Piggy Prizes Wand of Riches 2, Rumble Riches Haulin’ Gold and Firecracker Frenzy Money Toad.
Silver Lux Big Win Spinner, Starlight Jackpots Captain’s Catch and Charming Lady’s Boom are also included in the initial catalogue.
The selection covers several familiar slot styles, including jackpot games, feature-driven releases and titles built around recognisable themes.
For Alberta players, the deal adds another major supplier to the province’s legal online casino market. The wider choice could also help regulated operators compete with offshore sites that have long attracted Canadian players through large game libraries.
Alberta Market Draws Heavy Interest
Greentube is joining a market that has already attracted a large number of operators and technology providers.
Alberta launched with 22 operator websites active, while more than 50 online casino and sports betting sites had received regulatory approval.
Almost 60 gaming system suppliers and 14 platform providers were also cleared ahead of the opening.
The new framework replaces a market where government-owned Play Alberta was the province’s only regulated online gambling option. Approved private companies can now compete for players under Alberta’s licensing system.
Greentube Continues Canadian Expansion
Greentube Commercial Director David Bolas said the launch reflects the company’s growing momentum in Canada.
He said the supplier plans to work with licensed operators to bring its established catalogue to Alberta players, supported by a mix of proven games and newer releases.
Greentube’s Ontario experience could help with that expansion. Many operators entering Alberta already have a presence in Ontario, giving suppliers an opportunity to extend existing partnerships into another province.
The Alberta launch also arrives at a useful time for Greentube. Casino operators will be looking for trusted studios as they build their opening game libraries, while suppliers that move early may have a better chance of gaining visibility.
That advantage will not last forever. Alberta’s casino lobbies are likely to fill quickly as more studios complete the approval process.
For players, the immediate result is straightforward: more legal sites, more slots and more competition for their attention. Greentube has made sure its games are part of that choice from the start.
